  • We newly developed and are providing Dry Toilets, which are clean and comfortable, and solve sanitation problems such as spread of infectious diseases and smell in the affected areas.
  • We will be able to visit affected areas and explain how to assemble and use our Dry Toilets. We, at present, put the emphasis onto the Great East Japan Earthquake. Please inquire in detail by e-mail.
  • “UD Dry Toilet” stands for Urine Diversion Dry Toilet. It can reduce the sanitary load to the environment by separating urine and feces, without using water.

UD Dry Toilets have a special mechanism that urine and feces are separated. After the separation, we
reduce smell and pathogens by applying calcium hydroxide (or ash) on the feces. The feces, then, can be incinerated or used as soil conditioners. In case of emergency, the urine can be discharged as it has almost no bacteria, or we collect it in a container with calcium hydroxide (or ash). Phosphorus and nitrogen that may cause the eutrophication of water bodies can be precipitated and collected, and recycle as fertilizers.

    UD Dry Toilets are
easy to transport (light and compact), and may installed in various situations, for example, on flat spaces, with existing toilet (Western or Japanese styles) etc. Since it is easily assembled by everyone, it is suitable for the disaster and the emergency situation. As we often need some time to recover from disasters, we can keep the toilets clean and comfortable, and with the environment conscious UD Dry Toilets.
  • Our final purpose is the constructions of cities resistant in disersters by incorporating urine diversion into the city planning of the sewerage system.
